Premature Extrusion

Hello everyone. I have had pretty good success with 3D printing with the MK3S+, but there is always this annoying issue that I wanted to ask about. Everytime I start a new print and once the nozzle reaches the proper temp, it begins to extrude plastic and the bed calibration and initial wipe in the corner doesn't always remove or knock off the filament. I have to quickly wipe the nozzle with a brush as it is moving before the first layer starts to print. Is this normal or do I need to change a setting so that nothing leaks from the nozzle until the corner wipe?

It's fairly common but considerably reduced if you keep your filament really dry.  I wipe the nozzle with a bit of scrap filament - metal brushes are not kind to your nozzles.

Cheerio,

Nothing you can do about it. Some filaments ooze more than others. Tweezers or needle nosed pliers are your best friend. I just pull those pieces off as the nozzle is going down.
