Possible to start spiral vase partway through printing?
I would like to print something that has a thick base with threaded inserts (likely not possible to do it in spiral vase mode) , and the upper section is simply thin walls, no top.
See photo, pretty self explanatory although it’s sitting on side in photo.
Is it possible to slice the model in such a way so the printer starts a spiral after the base and thread holes are extruded? It should be, I don’t see why not.
Also, what is the max and recommended spiral thickness for .6 nozzle?

Try setting the number of bottom layers to greater than the height of the inserts
model the insert pockets into the base of the model, and you should be OK.
1.2mm should be achievable depending on the angle of any slopes in the model.
