Polymaker PolyTerra PLA

Has anyone tried printing with this?   They have some nice colors(mint and banana both look kind of nice) and before I order some I was curious if anyone here has tried to print with it.

Does it print well?   I'm curious if it works ok with MMU as well.

I have not used it with an MMU.  It does print well.  I just ordered another spool.

I went ahead and ordered a couple spools.  worst that happens is I just use them on the non-MMU printer or in single mode on the MMU one.   You never know if you'll get blobby tips or not that will jam things up with the MMU.

yep, I should get that the mint and banana in on Tues so I'm sure I'll do some test prints both mmu and non-mmu.  I've found that printing single mode, it doesn't do the same filament tip shaping that it does on a filament change and thus even with prusament it gets blobs that prevent retraction of the filament at the end or on stop of a print job.  it happened to me this morning with pineapple yellow prusament PLA.   Just more evidence that the MMU is really not a fully tested product lol.  Well the good news at least is that they are rewriting the firmware for the MMU so maybe it will get some love finally.  It might be too little to late for many though.  I'm quite interested to see how fuscher makes out with the PaletteV3.

I think it is actually PLA so I'm assuming maybe generic PLA profile to start.  See what happens.

@ssill2

It is absolutely PLA.  That is buried in the text.  It is a corn-based hyper environmentally friendly PLA.

To quote Wikipedia --

PLA, also known as polylactic acid, or polyactide is obtained from renewable and natural raw materials such as corn. The starch (glucose) is extracted from the plants and converted into dextrose by the addition of enzymes.

Whether material is corn starch, wheat starch, soy starch, or pine starch; it's all plant based.

It is probably just a gimmick.  But at 19.99, I will buy into that gimmick.

I prefer PETG for rockets.  The outdoor heat and sunlight can make nose cones and parts bendy.  At this price, I might try this for parts.

I have one that has 100+ flights.  Unlike Israel and Palestine, I like to recover my rockets.
