How do i place object on selected face in slicer?

you need the latest Slic3r
I have 1.41.0+win64
if you press the lowest left hand icon (turns Orange) as you can see above, the slicer hilights all of the possible facets that you can choose
if you choose a face, the slicer re orientates the model. as below.

If you are using 1.41.1-beta+ (possibly a version before), there's a button on the left-hand side of the screen at the bottom of the 3. Click it and you can select a face to place on the build sheet.

If you have an SLA printer, you could print it upside down... Lol! 😉
