PETG spare parts warping

I'm trying to print some spare parts as back-ups for the printer.  I'm getting some problems with PETG warping off the bed using the default settings.  I've tried cleaning with dish soap, then 70% IPA and that helped but didn't fix thing.  I've tuned the Live Z as good as I possibly can.

Has anyone observed similar issues with re-printing the extruder and fan shroud parts.  That's what I'm starting with because I assumed those would be the most likely to be damaged.

Filament is currently some generic black PETG, printing a the stock 240/90 settings.  The room is about 18C.  Is my room just too cold?  Do I need an enclosure?

RE: PETG spare parts warping

Whenever you experience warping (Lifting off the sheet), clean with Dawn and water. Then use a brim.

It helps - honest - and is not hard to trim off.

Well some more questions: at what layer do you first notice warping? The taller PETG gets, the more it pulls itself off the plate (shrinks).

If it is tall parts that are warping, you may need something to hold heat. Cardboard tent or something. Or a skirt.

@p-voet

Yes. It's a common dish soap in the US. I have seen British folks recommend Fairy.

Main thing with the detergent Dawn - it is unscented and has no hand softeners.

Any detergent you use that has no additives is great.
