Petg Problem (dripping,scratch)

Hey got the problem that dripping parts of filament will scratch of parts of my first layers.
Spend a day on tweaking around, checking the standard issues.

Using: Das Fillament Petg, and normal glue.

Do you use a silicon sock on the hot end? I have had nearly identical layer 1 problems when the sock wasn't firmly attached to the heater block and was slipping down, catching the fresh extrusions and peeling them up.

You got the PEI sheet right? Glue increases bed level slightly and might not be consistend everywhere. Try Window cleaner. The 1$ ones from discounter are fine. Clean your sheet at least once with acetone->isopropanol->window cleaner in that order. Use a bed temp of 80+ and make sure Z adjustment and bed leveling is correct. If in doubt, re-run calibrations and adjust z: https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/-f6/life-adjust-z-my-way-t2981.html

if this did not solve the issue, do some stringing tests: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2219103
I did not get rid of stringing in this test completely, but i minimized it by doing a temperature tower https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2729076 and setting temperature to the lowest but best quality range (240°C in my case) also lowering zhop 0.6->0.4, lowering retraction speed by 10-15 and adding a percentage before wipe 10% reduced stringing/dripping a good amount. This will differ for each filament of course, but it might be the direction to look at.
Also some Petg filaments can be very thick and sticky. If you got some of those adding a little temperature (5°-10°) and raising z adjust by 0.050-0.200 this seemed to often help others, but I can't validate, since my Prusament prints just fine.

Re: Petg Problem (dripping,scratch)

I'll second the bed z-level cal might be an issue. Especially since the center part looks best: and thicker than the other parts. Places where the nozzle is too low, the extruder may have problems extruding evenly, making matters even worse.

Also, I use window cleaner for PETG. Spray it on, and let it dry without wiping it off. It leaves a more even detergent film than glue stick. Plus another spritz and a wipe with a paper towel removes the cleaner a lot easier than washing off baked gluestick.
