PETG Printing Artifacts
Hi All,
I'm using Simplify 3D and the Prusa profiles included by default.
When I print a Calibration Cube at 200% scale in PLA, it comes out perfect - as with Slic3r.
When I print a Calibration Cube at any scale in PETG (Prusa's own brand) I get artifacts on the print that I cannot work out.
For example, the bottom of the cube, the edges are all great, except the middle looks very messed up. I have no idea what causes it so, so no idea what settings to play with to dial it in. This effect gets worse the larger the object - the more surface area on the first layer, the worse it gets.
Since I don't know what caused them, I don't know what settings to adjust to see what works - ideas are welcome!
Re: PETG Printing Artifacts
Did you change your z level for PETG? Try printing something else but slice it in Slic3r instead.
Re: PETG Printing Artifacts
Looks like your Live-Z is a bit low, try to move up a bit (less negative).

Hi Both,
Thanks for you replies - for some reason this forum doesn't tell me when someone has replied to my posts so apologies for my lack of response.
I adjusted the z axis and finally got good prints out of slic3r PE and PrusaControl but cannot get the same out of Simplify3D no matter what I do. I shall have to look at calibration.
However i have other issues - worthy of another post. Thanks.
