PETG Best Temps - do I believe Prusa or Prusa??

Hi there,

Printing a few PETG models these day and so have some Prusament PETG for this.

On the Prusament reel it states nozzle temp recommended is 250C +- 10C

In PrusaSlicer, using the Prusa PETG standard filament it sets to 230C

What temperature do you find works best?

Easiest is just to test with your filament, your printer and your nozzle and see what works best for you. In all cases, manufacturers provide guidance that will work across the largest number of printers and settings. Also be sure you are distinguishing between Prusa PETG and Prusament PETG. They are different.

Yeah, standard Prusa PETG settings seems to have worked fine (printing a new fact duct for another 3d printer).

Good heads up re Prusament vs Prusa - this is Prusa PETG - so aligned I think....!

Was just curious why the same manufacturer would give different guidance in their slicer and their filament reel!

I'm looking at the Prusa-supplied Prusament PETG profile and it is showing 240C 1st layer and 250C other layers. If the label on the spool shows Prusament and 250C +-10, I don't see any discrepancy.
