Perimiter defects
Hello,
This is a drawer I designed and printed for my wife. Anyway I have noticed something on this print and also on others.
There is a line marked with red visible on the outside of the drawer, it is on the same height as the bottom on the inside of the drawer marked with a red arrow. The line is completely around the whole drawer.
There is also another line marked with blue that aligns with the height of the top part of the drawers walls (the drawers walls on the front are a little higher than the back marked with a blue arrow).
Does anyone know why these lines are projected to the surface of the print?
I have another example that I have no picture of but it was a 5mm thick cylinder and it had a 2.2mm hole through half of it and the cylinder was thicker for the length where the hole was in it, the rest that did not have a hole was 5mm. It was pretty much like perhaps 0.5mm thicker.

they just happen sometimes. perhaps there was a small tangle causing momentary drag on the filament, or perhaps there was a small blob of filament that got stuck/became unstuck on the nozzle.

Hello,
It is completly around the whole drawer. And I printed three drawer with the exact same result. I have also seen it in other prints I made so it cant be a random blob.
Any other idees?

it sure can be, filament likes to stick to itself and the nozzle but I don't think thats it here.
can you reproduce if you try and print something like a featureless cylinder?

If I print a feature less cylinder it will be just fine.
If I however print a cylinder with a hole through half of it the half with the hole in it will have a larger diameter then the half without a hole in it.
