Perimeters do not connect

Hi all,

as I am a total newbie to the 3D printing world, I would like to ask for help with my first print. I am using Slic3r with 1.75 ABS filament on non-prusa printer. I've uploaded a template into slicer, set everything up according to the printer preferences. I am however having issues with connecting 2 perimeters. The outer perimeter does not connect to the inner perimeter which is nicely connected to infill. The gap between those perimeters is almost as thick as a nail, it looks like as a second skin for the model. I've played around with perimeter extrusion width, extrusion multiplier, but the result is always the same.

Do you have an idea what could be wrong? Am I missing something?

Thanks

Walls lines to thin?

In slicer, detect thin walls set to on.

Sounds like someone has been playing with extrusion widths ... check this table and make sure external and internal perimeters are the same.

ps: and are you sure you aren't just seeing the skirt and thinking it's a perimeter?

RE: Perimeters do not connect

Hi all,

thanks for suggestions, extrusion width was not the issue here, it was left in default settings, however I found out that the problem was the extruder. It was not calibrated, so instead of pushing 100mm of filament it actually extruded only 40mm. So I have calibrated the extruder and all perimeters are now connected into one, solid layer.
