Nylon Disaster, Please help
I tried printing something with nylon, but sometime over night the print came loose from the bed. The result is the entire hot end being encased in several blobs of nylon. Can anyone recommend a good way to clean it without buying a new X axis assembly? Thanks.

Try heating the nozzle up and trying to slowly and gently pull away the worst of the blob. With any luck, most of it will peel away. You might need a hot air gun or hair dryer to work some of the blob away from the nozzle loose. Try to be careful around the thermistor and heater cartridge wires, but be prepared to replace those. Use a wooden toothpick, popsicle sticks, or even cardboard to scrape away the stuff around the hotend.
This may all be a lot harder with nylon, but it's worth a shot.

Unfortunately, it isn't budging. It looks like I need a new hot end and new parts unless I can get hold of some very strong acid. Even so I will likely need to replace everything. Thanks anyway.

I had a similar accident recently with Polycarbonate (the melting temperature of PC is not so different from nylon)
After the first few unsuccessful tries, I went for the thermonuclear option, i.e. heating the whole hotend assembly with a heatgun at full power, while removing bits of PC with pliers.
I was able to salvage the Heater Block, the Heat Break, the nozzle and the HeatSink.
Unfortunately the wires of the heater cartridge and the thermistor melted, but I just ordered new ones from the Prusa shop.
It might be worth trying this before ordering the full hotend assembly.
