MK3 printer parts

Hello,

can someone tell me with which settings in PrusaControl or Slic3R have the gcodes for the original MK3 printed parts been generated from the .stl files included in the "Original-Prusa-i3-MK3" directory? Are the original components somehow post-processed/smoothed? I've printed a couple of parts as a replacement but, although functionally perfect, the finishing quality is far from the orignal ones
thanks

You mean the actual components on the printer?

They are sliced with S3D.
And as far as I'm aware, they have not released the "exact settings" they use for printing their parts.

Hi, I'm Sean. I used to work on CNC machines.

Recommended print settings:
0.2 mm layer height, infill 20% GRID and material PETG.

I printed the x-end brackets with generic petg since I damaged one during assembly and the finish quality was better than the original parts.

Thank you Matthew,

I will try PETG and see. However (sorry, I'm a newbie) I'm wondering if the typical "orange peel" surface of the original parts is obtained with some chemical or mechanical post-processing, because I don't see any evidence of the typical texture of all (al least my) prints.
See attached picture to show what I mean.

Re: MK3 printer parts

the Orange Peel effect comes from the Powder Coated steel sheets, that Prusa promised but are having difficulty producing
