Missing layers
Hi all,
I'm currently printing the biggest model I have tried so far. It is a moon lamp I found in the 3D models database.
In the beginning it all looked very promising, but now I have noticed that there are gaps between a few layers, just like they are missing. I am using Fillamentum traffic white PLA with standart settings in Prusa Slicer.
If anyone coul help me solve my problem, I would be very thankful.

I had a recent batch of Filamentum white that needed to be printed at 215 degrees. Try a temperature tower to check.
White filaments are always trickier to print as they contain more pigment than colours which affects the flow characteristics.
Cheerio,
It's the death star option
When you sliced the print, did you select the "omit death star cut-outs" option? <hahaha>
Thanks for the help
Thanks for your help,
I will try out changing some settings, but I am not sure this was the problem here. My first guess was, that the print did not stick to the printbed and caused the problem, but it was attached firmly when it was finished. Could the size of the print in combination with the small bed-contact area and the long distance between the contact area and the position of the missing layer be the problem?
Galen Erso
oh I really should have asked Galen Erso before starting the Print xD

There are none of the classic signs of unsticking.

That doesn't look like Death Star damage, more like a QC issue with Magrathea.
Cheerio,
