Minature Stringing and Blobbing PLA

Hello everyone,

I am hoping I can get some feedback regarding which settings in prusaslicer I need to be adjusting to get a specific minature to print at a higher quality. I am still very new to 3d printing and have attempted a few things already, but so far my setting changes have not improved the printed mini.

I decided to restart from default settings because I had been tweaking too many settings at once and could not figure out which settings exactly were working and which ones weren't. So I printed this mini yesterday with the .5mm ultra detail settings in prusa slicer, the only modifications I made were the following:

Temps:

Layers after first 205 instead of 210,

and the support settings:

  • 0.25mm z distance.
  • 75% xy distance.
  • 3mm support spacing.
  • 4 interface layers.
  • 0.2mm interface layer spacing.

Which I read about here on the forums. I  am still getting a lot of stringing and blobbing all over the print. Any ideas what I can do to help improve it?

I also recently completed printing a bottle cosy from mythic mugs and it came out perfect on the standard prusaslicer settings with .2mm layer height and 3 perimeters being the only setting changes. I am aware that minatures are much more difficult to print than larger objects, but I include it because I believe my calibrations are accurate and are not my underlying problem.

Thank you all in advance!

Hi @dragonguide,

Have you taken a look at this? : https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/stringing-and-oozing_1805

Ive had the same issues and lowered my temp anywhere from 5-10 degree difference and thats what helped me.
