3DJake - ecoPLA Matt Orange
Thanks
Joe
RE: Matt filament print settings
I haven't used that brand but I have used a couple of other matte pla's (Filaprint and Spectrum). My normal print temp is 230c for them (but Im using a NozzleX so everything is 5 degrees higher anyway).
RE: Matt filament print settings
Okay, Thanks I will try printing at 230c and see if that makes a difference. Would you recommend the NozzleX for matte pla? Have you seen it make a difference?
Thanks
Joe
RE: Matt filament print settings
I bought a nozzle x for my printer about 6 months after building it. Considering its a MK3 (non S, non S+) I've had it over 3 years. Its my normal nozzle. I use it for everything.
As its coated steel it means all my filament profiles are set 5 degrees hotter than if I was using brass. Thats about the only thing you have to do running one. They just dont wear out anywhere near as quickly as brass and if I feel like printing an abrasive filament it means I dont have to change anything. As I only use my customised profiles now anyway this isn't a hardship. I very rarely use stock profiles except when I'm trying to troubleshoot issues for other people.
If you are using a normal brass nozzle I would try with 225 degrees first, although like any new filament printing a temperature tower is always a good idea to get the acceptable range dialled in. If you aren't familiar with a Temperature Tower a quick google search will enlighten you 🙂
