Layerneer on smooth PEI?
Newbie here,
I've been having trouble with corner warping on large flat prints with PLA and PETG, as many do. Doing life z and adding a brim helped tremendously, but it's still bad enough that the finished product is unusable. (I wash my sheets with dish soap about once a week and wipe down with 91% IPA in between prints)
From what I've read it seems like layerneer is helpful for PLA on smooth PEI, but I'm concerned about over adhesion for PETG. I usually use a satin sheet for PETG, but I don't think you're supposed to use bed weld on textured sheets. My question is will bed weld protect the PEI if I print with PETG?
RE: Layerneer on smooth PEI?
I would recommend against PETG on the smooth PEI. Layerneer is a good release agent, but it will eventually fail and you will have a ruined sheet.

I see. What would you recommend? The part that I'm having trouble with takes up almost the entire width of the bed, so I can only put a 4mm brim around it. Is there an adhesive that's compatible with the satin sheet?

I do not print petg on the smooth pei. I use textured or statin.
