Just switched from inland PLA Lite to regular inland PLA, not quite printing the same. Any suggestions?

Title says it all, had a bunch of inland PLA Lite given to me and basically learned to print using that with stock prusa profiles. Went back to refill and got regular thinking it would be better, and it doesn't quite stick as easily. I can get things to print pretty well with a brim, but there are holes/spots and without the brim I seem to get curling/shrinking on the first area to print. Someone said I might need to play with the temps but I don't know weather to go up or down, or by how much. I think it's a relatively popular filament b/c of it's price and availability, thought I'd ask here to see if it's a known issue.

Hi there - To me it doesn’t sound like fiddling with temperature is the solution here. As you get good quality with a brim but not without, it sounds to me that your temperature and first layer calibration are correct (perhaps the latter could be a little lower).

Have you given the plate a good clean, recently? What happens if you go back to the Other type of PLA?

I clean the bed pretty regularly, I use a supermarket brand Windex substitute. and when I switch back to the PLA "lite" it prints better.

RE:

Windex is used to REDUCE adhesion when printing PETG on the smooth sheets. It acts as a barrier.

When printing pla onto a smooth sheet nothing but a correct z height adjustment and an oil/grease free bed is needed for adhesion.  The best way to get a clean smooth sheet is basic unscented dish soap such as dawn/fairy and LOTS of hot water to rinse the suds away.  No need for any ipa or anything else.  Then avoid touching the sheet.  As your fingers will spread oils from your skin on there and reduce your adhesion.

For example, this was printed last week, the bed hasn't been cleaned for about 2 weeks worth of printing but I've been careful to not touch it except at the edges.  Nothing extra added for adhesion.  It's almost the full height of the Mk3, around 200mm high.  note the contact surface of the actual part is very small, the support generated from PS2.4 gives it a bit more contact area but nothing major.  Trust me, get your Z dialed in and get things clean.

That's some pretty impressive adhesion. I'll try doing a standard wash with dish soap and then printing something narrow like that to see if I can get similar results. Can I ask what your print is? Makes me think of a monolith.

So I actually have the opposite problem. I had great prints on regular inland pla filament  and now I am using the lite and I am struggling to get good prints. Do you mind sharing your settings?
