Issue with MK3S+ and overhang on objects

Hi all,

I have noticed a small indentation that prints on objects that have a spherical/overhang near the bottom. When I print the same file with my mini I don't have any issue, but my MK3s+ creates a bit of "blobbiness" that I cannot figure out.  I am using generic or overture filament settings in Prusa slicer without any changes and I've noticed it on both PLA and PETG.  I am not sure if its cooling or temp related but again it is only specific to my MK3+. Could there be hardware adjustments that possibly could fix?

Uploads of pictures (blue has problem, red no problem) attached.

Thanks!

RE: Issue with MK3S+ and overhang on objects

I think you're on the right track with some combination of temp and cooling being the culprit.  Try printing a temp tower to see if you can dial in a specific temp that looks best.  Something with overhangs like this(Printables) or this(Thingiverse) should work.

If you're feeling impatient and want to test something quick, you can try cranking up the fan speed.  This is anecdotal and sort of comparing apples to mangoes, but one of my struggles with printing polycarbonate has been awful, droopy overhangs.  General internet wisdom recommends disabling fan or risk warping with PC.  After dozens poor quality prints, I tried adding some fan and it worked beautifully.  Crisp corners and overhangs.  Are ya feeling lucky?
