Interface support layer fused

My model has two parallel flat surfaces, one above the other. I have support material between the two.
The interface layers are fusing to the two flat surfaces. The rest of the model and support material are fine.
PLS, Slic3r.
Have hunted online wide and far for Slic3r settings help, pretty slim on this topic.
Any suggestions?

Can I have zero interface layers and denser support material?

Yes, it is very simple.
If you don't want support interface:
Print Settings > Support Material > Interface layers : 0
and you can change the default density of the support from 2mm, to whatever you want:
Print Settings > Support Material > Pattern spacing : 2

I think you haven't bothered with the Slic3r settings, enough.

Interface Layers set to zero still gets me a layer on which the support is laid.
This single layer (ZERO interface layers is set) is awfully stuck on the lower horizontal surface.
I have also decrease the density of my support setting to accommodate what I thought would be ZERO interface layers.

And my bridging layer on the bottom of the upper plane is horrible.
.6 nozzle, Prusament.
I see nowhere to eliminate the bridging layer. Maybe I shouldn't, or if I do, then I must modify whatever layer(?) gets printed on top of the bridging layer.
This print worked fairly well with .4 nozzle. The bridging layer wasn't as distracting.
