I need some help. Can't figure out what's causing this.
MK3S with a .6 nozzle
So to be clear, I feel like my prints are coming out great from a functionality perspective. But it's eating at me trying to figure out what could cause this. Attached are some photos of a few good prints and then the real obvious problem.
My first layer comes out amazing, but the 2nd and 3rd layer of the bottom layers are really odd, almost like there is an under extrusion or a clog. The infill comes out flawless with zero gaps in it, then the top 3 layers have gaps in the filament distribution again just like the 2nd and 3rd layer leaving a sort of rough finish. This is also only noticeable on prints with large surface areas (as seen in photos).
I have checked for clogs, changed filaments, reconfigured first layer, changed the flow while printing from 95 to 110, ensured my bondtech gear wasn't loose or anything. All with no change.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As embarrassing as it is....I'm going to leave this up as it's fixed....I'm an idiot and somehow turned my knob...turning the speed to 133% LOL.

it's refreshing to see someone hold their hand and say 'I Boobed'
All to often some people rant about the machine, when it's actually something daft they are doing... like printing PETG at PLA Temperatures...
I Picked up the wrong roll... it didn't print well!

Or trying to print PC blend at PLA temperature. That was real fun with the extruder clicking wildly and zero filament coming out of the nozzle..
It got me entertained a couple of hours until I noticed that the filament box said PC jetblack and not PLA jetblack. 😋

LOL! I've done the whole PETG at PLA temps before....didn't go well.

I think such errors are part of the right of passage for 3d print enthusiasts!
