How about these test prints Benchy, Marvin and Vase from MK3 SD Card

Hello Members of forum of Prusa. I testet printed these items from Prusa MK3 SD card. How do those look? I think there is several issues with them like front of Benchy and inside of Vase. Please comment and what I can do better with these. I have couple of problems with my MK3 right now.

Hi Arto,
the prints looks ok to me, some kinds of overhangs can produce uneven texture and also the colour plays significant role as it sometimes highlights the layers.

What is this problem inside vase? It is about 4 cm and then off and starts again. What is that?

Inside the vase you can see the seam. Printer starts extruding material at a certain layer and has to finish somewhere before moving to the next layer. If you slice similar tubular object using Slic3r PE you can choose, whether the position will be random, nearest, aligned or rear. The choice depends on the final look you want to achieve.

In this case what is the best choice for best looking object? What is the option in Slic3r and where it can find this on software?

in case of a seam, it depends, how the object will be standing. Sometimes "random" option is the best as it spreads them everywhere, sometimes using "rear" hides the seam on the back of the object.

If you open Slic3r PE go to "Print settings" and check the "Advanced" part.

If you open Slic3r PE go to "Print settings" and check the "Advanced" part.

Note: Jakub is referring to the Advanced section on the Print Settings - Layers and perimeters page

NOT the global Advanced page under Print Settings.

That has caught me a few times 😉
