Help with printing layers that require support

Hello, I was hoping for some help/direction on how to achieve a smooth finish on a layer that requires support.

I printed the following part.   The top side that printed up smooth, but the bottom side did not.  It required supports.

I have attached pictures of the part, and the top and bottom sides.  In addition I have attached the STL in the orientation that the object was printed.

I am using a MK3S+, at 0.15 mm quality, 15% infill.  The rest of the parameters are left on default. DDBDPalmRight.stl

Simple answer: you can't.

By definition, the supported surface will be imperfect. There has to be a small gap between that surface and the top of the support ( I usually use 0.2 for 0.2 mm layer height) or the support would be fused into the model and couldn't be removed. So the filament will always droop a bit.

With an MMU, dual extruders, etc. you could print supports with water soluble supports, so no need for a gap.

For most of us, this is just one of the limitations of FDM technology. If you need something smoother, you'll have to resort to post-processing aka sanding and polishing.
