I agree with diem. A standard dish sponge with the abrasive side(not a metal abrasive) is all you need. you might considering ordering another plate as a spare.

I only did one side of the plate and was extremely gentle. I’ll let it ride for now. I have the other side if there are issues.
There are all these little tiny tidbits that are challenging to learn as things come up and although the user guides are awesome, there are these things that could be better.
Im happier for a manufacturer to mention the simple cleaning maintenance rather than “just wipe with alcohol and your good to go”. I also switched from paper towels to the blue shop towels. I’m wondering if there is something in the blue towels. I’ll stick with paper towels for now.

shop towel might have something on it, not sure. I use either powertowel or a very cheap traditional towel(think something you'd see at the gym). it's course enough to help get anything else off as your drying it. It works really well for me. I sometimes even do the dawn scrub for the textured plate, but not often. Usually it's just the 99% IPA on the textured sheet.
