Hairy Einstein - Hair Prints in Mid-Air?
Trying to print the eponymous Hairy Einstein model. Everything's going fine, but the hair keeps trying to print the wrong direction. I assume it's supposed to print starting FROM the model TO thin air, but for some reason my printer is STARTING from thin-air TO the model. Of course, this doesn't work at all and leads to print failure. I double-checked the travel paths in Slicer and, sure enough, it has the hair strands begin printing over nothing.
I'm sure there's a setting I need to flip in Prusa Slicer, but I have no idea what it is. Any thoughts?

Actually, it just occurred to me that this could be how it's SUPPOSED to work? It's kind of like printing little curly hairs and then attaching them to the model. Pretty cool!
Although, I don't think this is how the original model was designed. I seem to remember the original model having somewhat straight hair that needed to be styled after the print similar to the Hairy Lion model (but without the sacrificial cylinder).

Most of the hair models I have seen are printed with a full height 360 degree 'skirt' that surrounds the model and is the start/end point for the hair. You cut the skirt off and that leaves the hair for forming with the hair dryer/heat gun.

Yeah, this one doesn't have that. Somehow it's supposed to work without.

Only if you use the exact same tools he was using. Some of the comments say the process doesn't work with normal printers and slicers.

Looking at the model, it is not printable on a Prusa. Each hair is ending in free space and requires support to print. Even a shroud won't help.
