Got this weird pattern in the print - TPU

Hey y’all,

Do you know why this would happen? I’m printing TPU with 210 nozzle and 60 bed

Seems underextrusion to me, a common issue with TPU. This stuff requires quite a bit of tunning to get decent results.

Is this your first try with this TPU or flexible filaments in general ?.

I've seen this if I didn't dry TPU. Now I always dry it and feed it directly out of the dry box.

This is one of my first tpu prints for sure. I’m printing this in a closed enclosure and someone told me to check the fans and they seem to be working fine.

The printer is in my shed outside and it’s 100F out there so it could be an issue related to heat creep.

I did another print and kept it overnight and the print was much better for the exact same gcode. The only difference is that I loosened the idler a little bit.

Yes, I’m using  a brand new spool out of the box. The box I’m feeding it through is airlocked. I should probably invest in those filament drying boxes.

Trying a 3rd print this morning with the enclosure open with the theory that this is relating to heat creep. I’m 50% done with the print without any issues. Will post the result once it’s ready.
