First layer (noob) issues !

Hey there,

Sorry for this, as it's been asked many times, I guess.

I'm a  French noob at hardware and software settings : I have a second hand MK3S and I use Prusa Slicer.

I have many different and random results on my first layers.

Here's a picture of my First Layer test

and the screens of some of my Slicer settings.

Thanks for any advice !

Is the printer stock version or has it been modified in any way?

Get yourself a filament that has a profile in slicer already (prusa, prusament, Verbatim, Filamentum ect..) and print with the default settings for everything and use 0.2mm quality setting.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

If you want people to see your settings, save, zip and post your slicer project. Screenshots are difficult to read (especally when everthing is in French - at least for me 🙂 ) and do not contain every setting. The slicer-project file does contain everything and is diplayed in the local language when loaded by somebody else... (You need to zip-compress before attaching it to your post with the button below the textbox, otherwise the forum software will ignore it)

RE: First layer (noob) issues !

Thanks a lot, Robin.

My MK3S is a stock version but it's a second hand : I bought it from a friend, couple of months ago.

I just changed the noozle and the fan shroud as I had some issues : some of the melted filament was kinda leaking from the extruder... I just read someone with the same issue on the forum... Should I change the whole extruder ? Please, no ! Ah ah ah

Sometimes, I have some big filament marshmalows stuck around the extruder head... That's bad, isnt' it ?...

I have some Prusament but I sometimes have random results with it too.

When I changed the noozle, couple of weeks ago, the head seemed a bit loose to me, even once I set it back in its intial position. I don't know if it's normal or if it's what can cause these random leaks...

I'm such a noob ah ! 🙂

Thanks again for your time and advices.

Merci beaucoup !
