First layer less "dense", Opinions appreciated!
Dear Community
My i3 mk3s mmu2s (powder coated steel sheet) runs pretty stable. However, I realized considerable difference in the finish of the top vs. bottom layer. The bottom layer/first layer shows a less dense surface with small gaps between perimeter and filling (e. g. left edge):
The top layer is very dense, no gaps between perimeter and filling, smoother finish:
The PETG parts of Prusa are even more solid, often showing the uneven texture of the coated sheet.
I recalibrated first layer z. However, i feel the testprint has just the right amount of squishiness:
Have you observed similar problems?

You need to use a larger layer 1 calibration target. Print something large and while layer one is going down use Tune Live-Z to make the adjustment.

Thanks for your reply! Do you think my z axis is still to high? I'll give the cal circle a try!

Ok, it was a Z calibration issue. Using a bigger calibration object helped a lot. It all came down to lowering the nozzle further to fill the gaps. Thanks!
