Filaprint PLA Matte Moss Grey [stringing]
Hey folks, I've been trying to print with Filaprint's Matte Moss Grey PLA filament. However I'm getting lots of stringing when trying to print a simple filament swatch.
I've repeated the print with different temperatures, from 205 to 225, but that didn't seem to change results massively. Also tried increasing the retraction a bit and didn't help either. I also left the filament in a sealed bag with silica, in case it was exposed to humidity during delivery.
Their website suggests printing at 215, which gives similar results.
Any suggestions to what might be causing the stringing? The printer itself works perfectly fine, I've not had stringing with any other filaments yet. The yellow swatch is just for comparison.
Using a Prusa MK3S+ and apart from the one experiment with increased retraction, all settings are from the "0.20mm QUALITY" profile

It’s just a very different pla. I’ve run through a couple of 2.3kg spools printing helmets and the strings I get aren’t the usual type, it’s more like a build up of very fine spiderweb over time unlike what yours look like. I print it at 230 (but I have a steel nozzle x which needs about 5 degrees more) so the equivalent of 225. I found the inter-layer adhesion suffered at less. The cobweb I do get is very easily removed though with a quick pass of a jet flame lighter.
Biggest help was calibrating the filament for actual diameter to stop any over extrusion. My retraction is set at 0.4mm but that’s normal for me with 0.4 z hop.

I've never printed with this material, but I'm curious if using a TPU Profile e.g. Semiflex or Flexfill 98A with the temperatures adjusted for this material would work well printing the sample?
