Filament Extrudes During Load, Not During Print
Hi all - I have encountered an odd issue with my Prusa MK3 this morning. Last night it printed a small print just fine, this morning when I went to print the path was followed by no filament was extruded. I've tried changing the filament and different known good prints with the same issue. Interestingly, when I unload/load filament it extrudes out just fine, but when it comes to print, nothing. I can only assume the extruder is not gripping the filament, but it is strange it works during load. Has anyone else encountered this?

Never encountered that, but some thoughts:
1. Is the filament tension screw tightened enough? If it's too loose, it might slip and occasionally grip and therefore appear to load ok, but not uniformly feed for printing.
2. You might try increasing the nozzle temp 10-20 deg or so and feed some filament (Settings/Move Axis/Extruder) to try to melt / clear out any stray bits. I find this is helpful when changing from a higher temp filament to a lower one: extrude a bit of the higher temp filament before unloading, then start loading at the higher temp and immediately lower the temp as it loads.
3. Seems unlikely, but have you measured your filament for consistent diameter?
Otherwise, I haven't a clue.

Thanks for the ideas. Pretty sure it’s not the tension screw as I checked that, but I will try the other two suggestions!
RE: Filament Extrudes During Load, Not During Print
As a wild shot in the dark... I don't have an MMU, so don't really know how they work. However, the behavior you are describing sounds like it might be trying to drive a different extruder. So some questions:
1. When you load the filament, are you doing it via the menu, or via the auto-detection mechanism when the nozzle is up to temp and you just stick it in and it automatically starts loading?
2. If you go to Settings/MoveAxis/Extruder and try to extrude filament, does it extrude?
3. Please list all of the values you have under the "Settings" menu.
