extruder catching on own print

we have recently have bought a prebuilt mk3s. it has only been able to print once, it was a the 0.15 frog that came with the machine.
the issue is that it keeps catching on the print and then drags it off the bed and makes it into a ball of pla.

im not sure where to start, what do you guys think the cause of the issue is?

maybe your live Z is off. did does the first layer look good?
or try washing the build plate with soap and water in a sink, dry it off and try again.

welcome to the "ball of pla" club.. you are now a printer 😀

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

I would start by washing the build plate in the sink, with water and dishwash detergent, scrubbing well with a paper towel, coffee filter paper or scotchbrite pad, drying with clean paper towels before reinstalling on the printer... not touching the surface

then try a new print... and watch the first layer, like a hawk...

Re: extruder catching on own print

this is my full detail version of Joan's instructions

For the best prep for your bed is to wash it with warm water and dawn dish soap (in the UK use Fairy liquid) by using a wad of clean kitchen paper towel dampen with warm water and put a dollop of Dawn on the pad and scrub (I do it twice at 90 deg to each other holding the plate by the edge as if it is a phonograph record), rinse under running water and dry with clean paper towel keep touching only by the edge... I do this every other day of printing with both kinds of plate.
