Disassemble or buy a Bambulab?

Hi guys,

getting really upset with my MK3S. Can somebody help me?

Has 22days of printing time. E3D Revo heater and Nozzles. PETG with 0,4 Nozzle, Temp 250 / 85

Has printed 6 quite big pieces (1d each).

Piece seven is a hazzle. Starts with perfect borders, but then starts doing crazy stuff on next layer. Please see picture.

Mostly extruder motor is clicking after a while (mostly not from the start).

So it must be a problem with transporting filament.

But in between 3x3 test print went well completely.

What I've tried already

- adjusting Z ( from too low to too high)

- heating up to 280 and push out

- taking the super thin needle from below side and push through (worked well)

- changing the nozzle

- drying the filament (PETG)

- print with 235 instead of 250

The help documents ("there may be 35 reasons why it can go wrong") don't really help me.

Any next ideas? Disassemble and replace ColdEnd? Or just buy a Bambulab?

These don't look like perfect borders to me, the lines should be touching without visible gaps between.

It looks like under-extrusion to me (maybe combined with a to high Z-Offset)

I'd start with cleaning the extruder gear and maybe adjust the idler tension.

After that, please run first layer calibration and post pictures in here

I would not give up yet.  Keep trying.

Concue with showing the first layer test.

Agreed. Run a first layer calibration and show us the result *on the print sheet*

But first, do a cold-pull:

Cheerio,

Sorry Prusa.

In the meanwhile: Run a first layer calibration and show us the result *on the print sheet*

Don't give up entirely, with just 22days of printing time it's barely run-in; like many Mk3 users I have have a couple of years printing time on mine and still going strong...

Cheerio,

Now this may be actually  in favor of Prusa: You run into annoying problems, stupid problems, unnecessary problems, problems that shouldn't exist and occasionally problems requiring support. But rarely - please correct if I'm wrong - problems that can't be solved somehow.
