Custom draft shield help
I'd appreciate any help on configuring a draft shield. I'm printing parts from ABS/ASA under a cardboard box, and also using a shield to further reduce the draft effects of the bed moving back and forth.
I do not let PrusaSlicer create an automatic shield around the items, as this results in 2 problems:
- The shield has no brim to hold it to the bed, I've had shields slide loose
- The shield has angular turns in it, making it susceptible to warping into a tangled mess
Instead of using the slicer default, I drop a 1mm high circle around the objects (marked A in the screen shot) and turn on Outer Brim. Then I enable the draft shield, which causes a round shield to be placed around the objects, and a brim attaches the shield to the plate.
[I believe this method might have been published by one of the members of this forum, I thought it was a great solution]
A side effect of this approach is that I also get brims on the objects themselves (B in the screen shot). The objects have enough contact with the plate not to require a brim, and I'd prefer not to have to manually remove the brim.
Any idea how to go about this- to build a circular shield + brim, but to have the inner objects free of brims?

Found the solution... no idea why it only occurred to me to RTFM after posting a question, but for future reference:

Brim for individual objects
You can turn on brim just for some of the objects and customize brim settings for each object separately.
Right-click on a model and select Add settings - Skirt and brim. You can then pick which brim settings you wish to adjust for the selected model. These settings will appear in the right panel and override the global brim settings.
RE: Custom draft shield help
I had the same problem with draft shields unsticking from the bed. Your solution works, but it sure would be nice to have the ability to enable a brim for the shield, rather than emulate a brim with a separate model element, and then have disable brims for all other model elements
