Curved Edges & Corners?
By executive order I am trying to make a miniature of a pyrex bowl for my wife's craft store. This is the original life size bowl:
The problem is in trying to put a curvature along the edges and corner points. I can do the bottom and top edges, but the corners are giving me fits. Here is where I used cylinders and spheres to round the edges but as you can see the corners will be rejected by the QC manager.
In the last image notice how the vertical edges are at an angle. I've put a little time in rounding those edges and soon realized that THAT is not going to be easy either. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them. (Doing this in TinkerCad)

I do not use Tinker Cad but it should act as other CAD programs.
First make a solid shape of your bowl.
Use the "Fillet" command to round off the outside corners.
Use "Shell" to create the internal form (the walls).

Well, TinkerCad is pretty basic. It has no fillet command or shell command. I actually looked into using Fusion 360, but after going through a couple hours' of tutorials and not once being shown how to create a simple object, I moved on to Sketchup. F360 has a steep learning curve, not worth it for what I'm missing in Tinker. And Sketchup is on a different wavelength from my brain. I may try some others but first I'm here soliciting for ideas. NewTek Lightwave offers a 30 trial I recall. The modeler component includes a 'rounder' tool. Youtube guides should be available.

I am someone who learned old fashioned mechanical drawing at school in the early 60s so Cad was not an easy transition for me... I was using Onshape and I liked it a lot as I could also work on projects on my iPad pro as well as my computer but they changed there terms of use last spring and I was not happy with some of the new stuff I have bumbled along doing mostly rough sketches on paper for the machine shop work but I have a project that will need proper cad drawings an I have settled on Fusion 360 but you are right it is a steep learning curve
I am finding this kindle book useful and at less than $20 it costs quite a bit less than some others that are over$50

Randolf I'm glad you came along and mentioned OnShape. I've been going through their tutorials most of last night and a good part of today. And I'm no expert by any means but this software is right down my alley. The tutorials are fantastic and the logic of the way things work suits my neurons to a tee. I've made my bowl with the curves just like I want them and I'm now learning how to make the handles for it. I appreciate you pointing out this fine (free) software.

I agree and If I could be happy with their changed terms of use I would still be using it... the fact is the changes will never actually have any practical impact on me in part due to my age and the fact that my usage was 95% hobby but I just could not be happy with the philosophic aspects of the changes... So I do a bit of paring on my nose to spite my face and move over to Fusion 360 which is owned by the "engulf and devour" of the whole CAD world... not very consistent am I 😕

The one catch that there is as to why their software is free is that everything you make must be public. For a hobbyist that's no big deal.

Man, I can't say enough about OnShape. It is exactly what I've been looking for for quite some time. Excellent tutorials, plus they walk you through numerous exercises holding your hand the entire way. Compared to Fusion 360 where I went through over 2 hours of tutorials and they not once showed me how to create a part. Steep learning curve. Also tried Morphie and Sketchup, but couldn't figure out how to make that huge beautiful wraparound filet under the handles (so it would match the actual bowl, and so it would print). I'm certainly no expert in 3D drafting but I am an expert novice, so I highly recommend OnShape if you're new to 3D, or not. BTW it's free and web based (runs in your browser), so I can also fire it up on my laptop when away from home.
