Current LW-PLA Settings

Curious is anyone has any current successful LW-PLA seetings for Prusa Slicer and MK3S+?  All I found was a closed thread from last year.

Thanks in advance!

RE:

If you are printing Eclipson models, I strongly suggest you use their prebuilt GCODE. Their GCODE produces near perfect parts. I'm using a Prusa I3 MK3S+ with it. My understanding is Eclipson developed their GCODE with Cura and an Ender3. The GCODE works extremely well.

That said, I have successfully printed some models with Prusa Slicer. You need to make a custom Filament, Printer and Print settings file for it, as each has pieces that need to be customized for this unique filament. The higher the temp, the more the filament expands, which actually weakens the filament, but makes it lighter. That means you also can/need to balance temperature with flow rate to get it printing well.

This isn't perfect, but it works for a lot of prints.

@rwhitlow Did you get this LW-PLA.ini file to work for you.... I am still having printing issues with eSun LW-PLA... Very linie (if that's a word) I have raised temp, lowered temp, I have slowed the speed down & increased it. I have dialled the Flow back to 60%.. Just gets worse, never better...

RE: Current LW-PLA Settings

I do a lot of printing with lw-pla (esun brand) and I use prusa slicer for everything, but I have cura installed just for LW-PLA. I think it has something to do with how single layer perimeters are done, but unless I used cura my lw-pla prints were either way too heavy (not due to lw-pla not expanding properly, but due to double walling) or if I set prusa slicer to single wall perimeters I had gaps in walls.

If you're printing eclipson models (as I did) I second using their gcode. If you have to modify it I suggest cura and use the settings given in this video Also make sure you pay attention to the number of bottom and top layers in eclipson parts if you're printing those by generating own gcode.
