How good are you with Prusa Slicer?

There's really nothing bad to show, it printed great, even the unsupported bridging area turned out better.

I made a lot of little adjustments and used several height range modifiers to tune and change the way it printed, after solving the real problems which were solid infill and tool pathing. The tool path was actually creating a situation that appeared to be poor cooling, but it wasn't. it was in fact poor pathing causing blemishes that would compound as the print advanced. slowing the print down improved the appearance, however until I corrected the tool path issue it would always turn out that way. 

This latest print was printed with no reduction in speed in 7hours 11min.

It would be far easier for me to create an example that you can print. It's late for me now and has been a long day however, I should have some time tomorrow and I will make an example .3mf that I know prints good on my end, and you can try printing it on yours and see if it helps.

also I want to suggest to you that you dry your filament if you have a way to do so, it will help to know that its dry and not suffering from a moisture problem.

OMG Yesssss! Eureka - I have spent sooooo many hours on this tweeking on this darn model and just not ready to give up on design.

I have to read into what tool pathing does- that is completely new to me.

This looks absolutely phenomenol. I primarily use Prusa Slicer as it I find it's the most easiest out of all the slicers I tried,but with all settings there are so many nooks and crannies and settings to explore and I'm learning so much along the way. So I wouldn't say I'm good, just good enoough to get good with some learning and tutelage. I would absolutely love for you to share the 3mf  file so I can fully absorb all apply settings and  see what sorcery you applied! I think it would help so much with other designs I want to apply realistic print capabilities. It will my weekend project for sure!

I don' t have have a filament dryer at the moment, but can certainly obtain one as they are fairly accessible via Amazon ]. Perhaps you have a favorite you or anyone can recommend?

I'm so very curious how you were able to solve the  compounded lines problem and manipulate the tool path to compensate for curved bridging without supports as well. I have similar models where certain paths; shortest ones, just aren't the best or doesn't provide external perimeter all together.

@Swiss_Cheese!! I was so close and have tried just about every one of these combinations, but not together! I'm absorbing it now and seeing that you can apply those separate processes at the different heights. I get it now, but I only had about two different processes going, I see that is key to check the external perimeters on trellises so it ends inside instead of outside that causes the fraying off the edge which presents an illusion of cooling issues! 

I see the only place you change the variable height to .20 was where that blue bridge would have been as well as adding the 6 Perimeters. What does changing that layer height @92.60-93.2 achieve in combination?

This is going to change my slicing game big time! I can't wait to show you results. Printing some carabiners for the kids bags tonight, but I'm all over this!

I can apply these tools to future prints and will make a huge difference in material, speed, and quality.

Thanks for taking the time to model example- it really did help me absorb and dissect all the different variables. This slicer is quite robust in options. Knowing where to apply them is half the battle that can be won.
