Converting official eSun PETG Cura profile to PrusaSlicer .ini
Hello, all,
I have been using eSun PETG with the Generic PETG profile in PrusaSlicer.
Since PrusaSlicer has an eSun PLA profile, I was trying to find one for their PETG.
While users have posted their custom profiles on the forums, I did find out that eSun actually posted a profile to the Ultimaker Marketplace: eSun PETG by eSun
I've attached the profile as a .xml.fdm_material file (from Cura's configuration folder) and here is the link to the Technical Specifications for it.
However, I'm not sure how to translate the settings over to PrusaSlicer; I opened the .xml file and, right off the bat, the diameter is 2.85mm.
I haven't used Cura and don't understand how some of the fields translate to PrusaSlicer, or how to address the additional fields not in this profile. Does the 2.85mm value mean that the profile shouldn't be used with 1.75mm filament?
RE: Converting official eSun PETG Cura profile to PrusaSlicer .ini
All I can say is that the Generic PETG profile in Prusaslicer has worked well for me for eSun PETG. As usual I would print a single wall hollow calibration cube to adjust the extrusion multiplier.
