Can You Change the Infill Settings for Different Parts of a Model?

Hi,

I was wondering if you can change the infill settings for different parts of a model using PS 2?

Like having parts of the model solid while other parts with say a 15% infill.

Thank you,

Steve

You can do it using modifiers. These shots were done with an older version of PrusaSlicer/Slic3r:

^^ This definitely works, I use it on occasion to make the last few layers of infill denser in preparation for a cleaner top surface with fewer solid layers required.

yes, using a part modifier over the area you want to change

Bobstro,

Are you saving your settings for the objects in a project .3MF file?  Is that the way to go for getting repeatable results before slicing?

Thanks,

Robin

I do that with complex projects, yes. I created a vertical test tower that used different parameters with modifiers at every 10mm for example. Definitely save as a project (3MF) if doing anything complex when you want to re-use the settings!
