Can anyone tell me what this issue is called? Print objects Z more then double size!

Dear forum members, you are awesome and I think I need help.

Can anyone tell me what the error of the following 2x2x2cm cube is called (as seen, it didn't finish, but more importantly, the Z-axis of the object seems like it is 200-250% its original size!!!):

and select Link to: Media File

I have no clue what it is called, so I can google it and fix it.

Thank you so much for your time!

P.s.: Sorry or including a link , somehow the image didn't get recognized from the inser media button.

Sorry - I never follow links to weird sites.  Drag and drop the image into the forum if you want folks to see it.

Ibb.co virus is an adware application that is closely related to the Android virus due to its prevalence on these devices. Nevertheless, Windows, Mac and iPhone users can be affected by the threat as well. ... Additionally, according to users, the image hosting site image.ibb.co accommodates malware and even ransomware.Jan 29, 2019

That said, normally, when a part scale is off, it's a problem with the model and stl export.

Hi, thank you for taking your time for responding : )!

I hope it worked now with drag & drop :

I printed the object flawlessly on another printer, it seems that something is strange with the Z-Axis, never seen it expanding O.O

(Just to be sure: Same gcode different maschine = perfect 2x2x2cm cube)

What printer is this from, and how did you slice the gcode for the print?

Is is as simple as you are using gcode for the other printer?

Zip then post the stl and gcode, too. That will allow folks to try recreating the problem.

Hi Michael,

Thats a really odd result,
It looks as if the Z axis is twice as tall as it should be...

and the layers seeem to not be bonding together very well...

I have never seen this before...       but, Guessing...    it could be a problem  with the Stepper Motor Programming.

Stepper motors normally use 'Micro Stepping' to improve the quality of prints.     On a RAMPS board there are header pins and jumper links to set the micro stepping....     to be totally honest I don't know how Prusa sets their Einsy controllers up...
But....
If the micro stepping is set up by the programming, like I know the Motor current is, you could have a situation where the Z motor stepper controller is corrupt and instead of doing say 1/16th mictostepping, it was doing 1/8th microstepping... you would get exactly this sort of problem,

So...

I suggest you re program the Einsy controller with the latest Firmware. and try the test print again.
