Bad Mesh or G-Code?

I built my Mk3s last weekend and it printed amazing right off the bat. I swapped the nozzle for a 0.6mm to speed up a desk organizer print for my wife. It also printed quite well with smooth and clean walls.

 

However, I am now trying to print a Falcon Heavy Rocket ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3262427 ) and keep running into consistent and identical issues. There are severe horizontal layer bands. The issues seem congruent across prints and still occurred when I exported another G-code. I printed a Cali-Cat between the rocket prints and it came out a little rough around the corners, but no layer lines and certainly nothing like the Rocket Exhaust, so I don't think this has anything to do with Z-banding. Any thoughts on if this is an issue with the G-Code, model mesh, or my printer?

Settings: Default Prusa Slicer settings, 0.6 nozzle, 0.2mm QUALITY, Generic PLA profile (for Microcenter Inland brand)

I would check the XYZ axis and make sure with they all move smooth across the whole travel distance. Also check to make sure all the gears and pulleys are tight.

I'll do that just to calibrate! I'm pretty new to this printer, so I need to go through all the fine-tuning steps.

I think I found the issue though.
I followed a few settings adjustments from Reddit (lower speed, lower max volumetric flow rate, disable z-lift) but it looked the same. I recreated the rough model geometry and size of the print in Rhino from scratch, and made a fresh slice. It looked MUCH better. I think the Thingiverse file is just poor quality, but I'm not sure how so many people have printed it correctly. :/
