Angled 'kink' first few mm of straight wall

After switching out bad soft rods for hardened and replacing original with R2 components, my machine has started printing the first few mm of a straight wall at an angle, then switching to a nice and straight vertical. I have swapped out the y-axis bearings as they were making quite a loud vibrating noise, and turns out were rather loose. Problem is better, but still there. There's still troubleshooting to do, but hoping for direction to focus my efforts. Thinking perhaps belt tension? And unlike some I appreciate loose ideas and even a WAG or two.

Issue is on the Y-axis only, X-axis is vertical as expected.
