Advice on really thin walls?

Hello, I'm on a mk3 using PLA. I would like to experiment making an air to air heat exchanger. I know PLA isn't known for heat conductivity, but if it's thin enough.....

I have access to several modeling programs. I'd like avoid experimenting a whole bunch. What should I go for when trying to model the thinnest vertical walls possible?

My first test would involve building a base and then lots of thin walls rising up vertically, then I'll work on making something more practical.

Thank you!

just make sure the math is right between model and printer settings. slicers don't do good with thin walls from what ive noticed.

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

Thank you, and I see that slic3r pe has some built in recommendations for wall thickness if I'm reading it right.

Slic3r will consider anything a thin wall that is below your extrusion width. In general, your extrusion width should be VERY near your nozzle size, so you can get much thinner walls by changing out to a 0.25 nozzle if needed.

You don't even need to physically swap out the nozzle to achieve this. Just tell Slic3r that you're using a .25mm nozzle instead of a .40mm one. It will do the path calculations accordingly, but also decrease the e axis (extruder) rate of the filament by nearly half. The resultant print will have a thinner wall than using the .40mm settings
