A very small item (total newbie)

Hi everyone. Just to let you know, I am a total newbie here. first 3d printer, first post.

Purchased a Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ kit. I want to print a chair, problem is it's very very small 4.5 cm. (see pictures attached for my reference, the model i am building and the print file )

I have tried multiple different settings with different temps on the nozzle and bed etc. But it just can't get past first couple of layers before it comes away from the bed, I can't use a lot of supports as they are too hard to remove afterwards. Printed it sideways etc but no luck.

Perhaps the nozzle (kit nozzle that came with printer - 0.4mm) just isn't the right one for this type of job. Any advice at all is most welcome.

thanks. Leo

That's difficult to print without supports and as a whole. I'd suggest to just print the seat part (upper part) upright and build the legs with suitable wire, probably solder them.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
Find out why this is pinned in the general section!

This is a very small scale diorama.

You have chosen a very difficult print for a beginner and the design is not optimised for 3D printing.  Very little is in contact with the print-sheet and the legs are far too thin to print well.  This would be a difficult print even with a resin printer...

Do you have access to the original design?  It would be simplest to modify the model.

Here is a slicer view of a same-scale simplified chair in which the minimum dimension of any part is two extrusion threads, the very finest you can expect to stay together with a 0.4mm nozzle.

And here is the zipped .stl file if you would like to print it.

Cheerio,
