Z Height Direction

I saw this somewhere before but now I can't find it. If my Z is set at-.250 is -.270 closer to the bed or farther away? Another way to say this if Z0.00 is an arbitrary point is the negative Z area above it or below it?

RE: Z Height Direction

Z -0.270 is lower (closer to the bed) then -0.250

RE:

With the Z offset you set the position which is referenced as Z0.0 for printing. Because PINDA triggers before the nozzle hits the bed, there is always an offset. As JimB wrote: Z-0.270 sets this position lower (closer to the bed) than -0.250.

If everything is set up correctly, there is no negative Z, that would be below the bed. Printing should start at Z=first layer height and continue with increasing values.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
