Z-Axis Skew?

Hello,

My Z axis screws are fine. I just have 2 concerns:

  1. What do I do if I accidentally move one of them by accident? Do I have to re-calibrate and check XYZ dimensions again?
  2. The right Z-axis motor is loud when it descends. However, when it's on stealth mode, it is as quiet as the left one. Any ideas?

I tried searching here but I couldn't find any relevance to my questions.

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

RE:

I do not know for sure but I would think that it would be flagged if there was a difference issue while doing the level check with the PINDA before a print if it was moved off level?

Different noise from the two motors A) alignment and mechanical stiffness on the lead screw? B) loose mounting C) Electronics. Try to swap the connection to each motor? D) Grease on bearings and rod or wear? E) Motor issue? Motors at different temperature?

The fact it is different going up or down leads me to think it could be a mechanical alignment issue or bearings on the rod.

Use Z axis  position in menu and go all the way up and down and see if it is still an issue?

Redo the full calibration....

Good luck with it.
