Z-axis sensor & unknown part
Hi everybody,
I just received my Prusa i3 MK3S and did some prints. The extruder clogged and I had to disassemble it to fix this. I specifically ordered the pre-assembled printer as I am not very good with this kind of stuff. While taking the printer apart and removing the clog (the entire tube was clogged) worked fine, two problems occurred:
1. The round piece that holds the z-axis sensor broke off; the sensor is not held in place any longer, therefore the printer cannot be calibrated - and therefore it cannot print any longer.
2. Upon assembly, I was left with one part that I cannot figure out where it needs to go.
See pictures below.
Where does that extra part belong? And how can I fix the z-axis sensor? I'm sure there are parts I could print, however, I am not able to print without this part, so is there another (temporary) fix that works until I can print a part that will hold it in place?
First image: where the z-axis sensor is supposed to be held in place, second image: broken off z-axis sensor part (left) and unknown part (right).
(also, please pay no attention to the print bed! The tube clogged at the very beginning of this print, and so far, I have not been able to clean it as the layers were too thing to remove them! It's PETG. Working on it, but getting the printer going again is up higher on my priority list).
Thank you for your help 🙂
RE: Z-axis sensor & unknown part
the spare piece is a fan shroud.
screws on to the bottom of the left hand fan housing, and guides air from the front fan onto the printed model

Thank you 🙂
I am currently searching the docs, because I cannot for the life of me figure out how to attach it there. Perhaps I'll take a break and some coffee, as this is likely very simple and I am just too down my nerves to do this right now.
