Z axes Problem

I have the problem that I cannot calibrate the Z axis when calibrating, it is set to approx. Z 17.00, but says that Z is at 5.0?. Every calibration process is cancelled with the message. ‘Check the Axes and Repeat Process’. I have already reflashed it and also tried to change the position before calibrating but the error keeps coming back.

RE: Z axes Problem

Have you checked your Pinda?
when the extruder is high the Red LED should show on the Pinda, if you place metal at the end of the pinda the red LED should go dark.
if you observe the LCD Sensor status display , you should see the value toggle between 1 and 0
If this does not occur one of the wires between your Pinda probe and the Einsy board may be disconnected.

One possible cause is a faulty connector,
another possible cause is a broken wire
another possibility is that the pinda sensor itself is faulty!

I had a faulty wire, and resolved it like above.
please be aware early Mk3 printers had 4 wire pinda cables, later mk3 printers have 3 wire Supa Pinda cables
I hope this helps  you, regards Joan
