Y Axis stuck forward

I started a nylon print before going to bed. This morning the print had finished and I had no error messages, no error stats saved, and the print had completed successfully.

I tried to start another print, yet the Y axis is fully forward and it's like the printer doesn't realize it. It started the pre-print bed calibration and thought that the back corner (near calibration point 7) was the starting point and when it tried to advance the Y axis, the carriage crashed into the front of the frame. I stopped the print as soon as that happened, and I tried to get the printer to Auto Home. It still thinks that the back corner of the bed is Home.

I tried to use the Move Axis feature to move the Y axis backward, it allowed me to go 4 steps and that's all.

I've power cycled the printer to no avail. I've run the Selftest, it fails on the X axis belt tightness (though when I look at Support - Belt Status the tightness is within the specified tolerances) so I haven't been able to get it to test itself on the Y axis yet. And I'm almost afraid to do that, as I don't want the carriage to crash further.

Has anyone encountered this before? Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you!

No idea but guessing here...I’d check y belt and pulleys in case belt jumped over pulleys making the printer think it’s in one place while it’s in another. I’d also turn it off and on to let it find its real location.

One thing I'd try is to turn power off then manually move the y-axis all the way back before powering back up.

Re: Y Axis stuck forward

in addition to trying to manually move it I would check to see if there is anything caught that is keeping it from moving the bed.
