Y-Axis low frequency popping noise?
Just put together my MK3S+ from the kit and I am trying to figure out what this popping noise is thats coming from the Y-axis stepper motor.
Here is a video I got of the popping sound, apologies if its hard to hear but hopefully its clear enough that you can differentiate it from the background noise:
If you place your hand on the y-axis stepper motor you can actually feel these pops as they happen. If I feel all of the other motors I cannot feel any popping and its only on the y-axis.
Whats strange is that this popping noise only happens during infill-type sections of prints. If I manually move the Y-axis with the control knob or if I just move it back and forth manually, the popping sound is not there. It is only when the printer is extruding and moving back and forth along the x-axis during an infill-type movement that the y-axis makes this popping sound.
So far I've tried tightening the grub screws on the y-axis gear, re-tensioning the y-axis belt (and using the belt test to verify, x-axis was 263 and y was 251).
Does anyone have any other ideas as to what this could be, or is this just how the y-axis sounds normally?

What infill pattern are you using? May be the nozzle catching the previous infill line?
Try to print the same model but with gyroid infill.

This is on any model with any infill pattern so long as that pattern is diagonal, and it is identical to the issue identified here https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-hardware-firmware-and-software-help/y-axis-knocking-sound/paged/2/ that never got a resolution :(.
Its any time the print head has to move diagonally.

Thanks for linking the other thread. I didn't knew it was already reported since I have mk2.5S.
From the other thread it seems the support already replied it is a normal sound so i'm not sure i can help further.
Hopefully other users know more than me about this oddity

Sounds pretty normal to me. Some of the infills at higher densities make all kinds of noises.

Hi, this is the first layer?
i figured out that it is much better, when i push a bit on the y motor on the left to the right. maybe there are frequencies going to the frame and it sounds so weird?
