Y-Axis Completely Out of Whack
My Y axis suddenly is completely out of whack. It's position is not correct, it's crashing. After attempting recalibration it will initially be right for a super brief time then act up to the point you can see the printer glitch, then the Y-axis coordinates are completely wrong (like zero becomes wherever it was when it glitched). I've updated firmware, ran calibrations over and over and no luck. Should I move on to Y-axis motor replacement? X and Z seem completely fine.
RE: Y-Axis Completely Out of Whack
Have you cleaned and lubricated the Smooth Rods and bearings?
Have you checked that the Idler roller is rotating freely and smoothly?

RE: Y-Axis Completely Out of Whack
You were absolutely correct. 😀
I took off the Y-axis motor so i could move the table and it was very sticky in one direction and marginal in the other direction. I cleaned the rails and used the prusa lubricant and it is butter smooth now. I also cleaned the X and Z rails and lubricated as well. Thank you for the input, I was thinking the stepper motor was bad but it was not.
Thank you,
Ryan
