Y-Axis Attributed Noise
I posted about this about 8 months ago but have yet to find a remedy for my Mk3s' loud Y carriage. Some noise has been mitigated through switching to drylin bearings and a substantial cleaning as well as rebuild of the Y axis assembly and LCD enclosure. I believe the sound is coming from the Y-axis motor, during high velocity/acceleration movements, similar to the loud beep the printer would emit upon powering down several firmwares ago. Anyone have any ideas for how to quiet down this motor whether it be mechanically, through slicing methods, or upgrading?

Use it in stealth mode.
As long as you have a well set up printer, and well lubricated bearings, using stealth mode is not an issue, I've never had a layer skip or other artefact using stealth mode.

Stealth mode has seemed to reduce general noise from the printer significantly, however it does not appear to yield any difference in the loud noise occurring during the high velocity y-carriage movements.
